Botnet taken down

Score one for the good guys!

Law enforcement in the Netherlands has taken down the botnet based on the Bredolab trojan.  They seized 143 servers that were controlling an estimated 30 million infected Windows computers.

Some legal questions have arisen from the take down of the botnet, however.  Code was uploaded to the infected computers, which redirects the browser to sites with information on the infection, and how to clean it from the computer.  This was decided to be the best way to clean out the botnet.
