Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 Support
Microsoft terminated support for Windows XP Service Pack 2 on July, 13, 2010. This means that Windows XP users will no longer be able to get assisted support or any updates for Windows XP ( including critical security service packs) unless they have upgraded to Windows XP Service Pack 3.
Considering the number of monthly Security Service Packs that Microsoft releases, I would be to your advantage to have your older systems reviewed and updated between now and the start of the Holiday season.
There’s no SP3 for the 64-bit version of Windows XP. So If you’re running the 64-bit version of Windows XP with SP2, and you have the latest service pack, you will continue to be eligible for Microsoft provided support and receive updates until April 8, 2014.
If you would like to have your systems reviewed and updated, please contact the CCS Retail System Support Department.
