Small Business Saturday – Make It an Occasion

Black Friday

It seems that each year a great amount of preparation and attention is given to Black Friday – the shopping day after Thanksgiving, but not as much is given to Small Business Saturday. This important shopping day, November 28, can be as important to your holiday sales kickoff as Black Friday if you make the most of it by preparing in the right way.
How should this be done? Whizbang! Training presents Four Ways to help you:
Make a great first impression: Make sure that you give shoppers a GREAT first impression, a great shopping experience that will keep them coming back for more. That means you must forget about your sore feet and fatigue from Black Friday and put on your “happy face”!
Coach your staff: Educate your staff about any new products, any add-on’s you want them to suggest, and answers to questions customers might have.
Gather customer names and email addresses: Have employees use clipboards to record this information while customers are waiting in line to speed up the process of staying connected to your customers.
Have fun: Do your best to make this a joyful encounter with your customers. Your attitude is contagious! A positive attitude will bring shoppers back for more!
Small Business Saturday could be your gateway to a very successful holiday season. Make sure you’re prepared for it.
