Last week my car developed some problems, so I took it in to my local dealership to have it diagnosed. The news wasn’t great. Some costly repairs were needed which would involve much time in the shop. I dreaded this, not only because of the expense, but also because I would have to get a rental car to get me to work until the car was fixed. Also, I didn’t know how I would be able to pick up the car when it was finished, because the Service Department closes before I get off work.
Much to my surprise, they had a “loaner” car available at no cost to me (great customer service!) and they had recently extended their Service Department hours until 8:00 P.M.! I was so relieved, and retained this information for the next time I need work on my car!
Do your store hours accommodate your customers? It’s a point worth considering if a change might bring in more customers for your business.
