What is NCR Secure Pay?
NCR Secure Pay is the next generation of NCR Counterpoint Gateway and is the service provided by NCR to enhance electronic payment processing for NCR Counterpoint merchants.
NCR Secure Pay uses the Monetra processing engine (sometimes referred to as a ‘gateway’ or switch) to interface to credit, debit and gift card processors.
NCR Secure Pay offers payment processing for the following NCR products:
- NCR Counterpoint: NCR Secure Pay for use with NCR Counterpoint is in pilot now, and will require NCR Counterpoint 8.4.6, or greater. It will be generally available for use with NCR Counterpoint sometime in Q1 2013.As of this posting this official date is yet to be announced.
- NCR Retail On-line: NCR Secure Pay is available today for use with NCR Retail Online and, in fact, is required if customers want to use their existing credit processor to accept credit cards on line in lieu of Google Checkout or PayPal.
- NCR Silver: NCR Secure Pay is also in use today with NCR Silver.

- NCR Secure Pay is PCI DSS Compliant.
- NCR Secure Pay offers point-to-point encryption (P2PE), the most secure credit card transmission method, when used with NCR Secure Pay encrypting payment hardware.
- No credit card data, even encrypted data, is retained in NCR Counterpoint, NCR Retail On-line, or NCR Silver when NCR Secure Pay is used.
- Offers on line access to settlement data and account configuration.
- NCR Secure Pay is hosted in an NCR secure data center located in Beltsville, MD, ensuring reliability and consistent uptime.
NCR Secure Pay supports the following processors:
- NCR Merchant Solutions (formerly Radiant Payment Services, aka Worldpay and Lynk Systems)
- Elavon (aka NOVA)
- Mercury Payment Systems
- First Data GIFT (aka Value/Link/FDMS Gift)
- First Data North (aka Cardnet)
- Global Payments East (aka Atlanta/NDC)
- TSYS (aka Vital/VisaNet)
- Chase Paymentech Tampa
- Fifth Third Bank (credit only)
Currently, the fee schedule for Secure Pay is same as what is offered by CPGateway.
