More reasons to update to Counterpoint 8.4.6 – Email Related Enhancements

Updating e-mail addresses "on the fly"

This Service Pack allows authorized users to update e-mail addresses that are on file for customers, users, and vendors "on the fly" while sending reports or receipts via e-mail.

When you send a report via e-mail or you send a receipt to a customer who does not have a default  e-mail address on file, you can select E-mail 1 or E-mail 2 from the E-mail Parameters dialog, and  then enter or update the e-mail address in the corresponding field.

If you are authorized to update e-mail addresses on the fly, a confirmation message appears when  you click OK, prompting you to verify whether you want to update the selected e-mail address.  This option can be authorized at the Security Code level.

Blind carbon copying e-mailed receipts and reports.

In this Service Pack, you can blind carbon copy (Bcc) reports and receipts to one or more e-mail  addresses that will be hidden from the other recipients. This feature allows you to retain and archive  e-mailed reports and receipts, which you can later re-send to the original recipients, if necessary.

Sending reports via e-mail.

In this version, you can configure Counterpoint to allow authorized users to send Point of Sale and  back office reports to users, customers, and vendors via e-mail. This feature allows you to easily share reports while reducing your consumption of physical supplies, including printer paper and ink.

Once you have configured the necessary settings, authorized users will see the E-mail button on all report parameter windows, alongside the Preview and Print buttons. Clicking this button displays the E-mail Parameters dialog, which allows the user to select a user, customer, or  vendor with a valid e-mail address, or to specify a "one use" To address.

If no e-mail address is on file for the selected user, customer, or vendor, the user can add the  necessary e-mail address "on the fly" or create a new user, customer, or vendor record. The  user can also modify the From address, Subject, and default Body text defined for your company before sending the report.

Please contact CCS Support for assistance with configuring the above email related features.
