How to Help Customers/Prospects Find You on the Web

The number one search engine, by far, is Google.  Number two is YouTube, which is owned by Google.  If you want to help your customers and prospects to find you easily on the web, you need good placement in Google searches.

Although there are countless ways of doing this, one simple way is to set up your store profile in Google Places.  Once this is done, your customers can type what they are searching for in Google, and your business comes up as a highlighted local business listing.  A red dot appears on a map, showing your location.

You can take control over what Google is showing your customers when they use the "more info" button.  Information you can add to your Google Places listing includes such things as store hours, additional telephone numbers, email addresses, pictures or videos of your products, printable coupons, gift certificates, and much more!
