Not good, but great customer service makes me overjoyed! I don’t have the shopping endurance that I once had, so I like to take my shopping list and get in and out of the store as quickly as possible!
This time out, I needed a replacement drain cover for my bathtub. It’s a very small part, and there must be a “gazillion” different types available, all different sizes. I took measurements, looked online first to see what might work, printed out the information, and went to the largest hardware store in the area.
Upon entering the store, I was immediately approached by a sales representative who asked what he could do to help me. He led me to the proper department, and we started looking for the part. It was nowhere to be found, so he flagged down another helper, who led us to a different aisle. Still no luck, so they used their store locator to see if the product was still in stock. It was, and we found the right aisle. There it was—exactly what I wanted!
I had expected this search to take a long time. Actually, it took about five minutes total. Why? Several factors come to mind:
The salespeople took their job seriously and really wanted to help. It wasn’t a “bother”.
Obviously, the salespeople were trained to help one another!
They were knowledgeable about the products they were selling.
The store’s inventory was up-to-date.
I left the store happy and convinced that I had chosen the right place to shop. I will, without a doubt, visit this store again. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
