I wasn’t surprised today to see an article by ghoffer in RetailingToday.com announcing that Kmart is now offering in-store bill-pay service for its customers.
Available in all Kmart stores, the program accepts bill payment for more than 3,000 companies nationwide. This includes payments for everything from utility bills and credit card bills to auto loan payments. For $1.50, or less, per transaction with cash or a PIN-based debit card, payment will be sent to the biller by the next day. If processed by 7:00 P.M. EST.
Kmart hopes that “By providing services like this, we hope to make shopping at Kmart a more satisfying experience.”
