Twitter Hit by Fake Anti-Virus Scam

V3.co.uk reports that a scam targeting Twitter users uses the Goo.gl link-shortening service to push bogus anti-virus software tools.

Clicking on the links take users to a third-party page that loads fake security alerts and tries to trick the user into downloading fake anti-virus software. Twitter says it is removing the malicious links and resetting passwords for compromised accounts.
