I visited my favorite hardware store recently to buy a missing screw for my coffee maker. While I was there, I noticed that they had a new display in a very prominent place in the store. Of all things, it was a display of funny greeting cards! 

The cards were really funny—some of the best I have ever seen—so I stocked up on my supply. I bought about 15 for various occasions. I also mentally recorded that this was the best place to go to replenish my supply when my cards were used up. I hoped I could remember this store in the future, but unfortunately, my memory is not what it used to be!   Also, since the cards were being snapped up quickly, I wondered when new ones would arrive in the store. 

I wandered around the store to see if they had any other new offerings, found a few more things to purchase and headed for the check-out lane. 

When checking out, the clerk asked me if I would like to be on their mailing list so I could be informed of new arrivals and specials on their products. I signed up, of course, and now I get emails and mailers that help me to save time and money. And best of all, I won’t forget this store because I get constant reminders!
