CP SQL 8.3.9 – New Discount Features.

CP SQL 8.3.9 – New Discount Features.

In previous versions of CP SQL discounts by percentage were only  allowed on the Total Ticket, or via a predefined Price Rule.  Everything else involved doing a manual price override.

In CP SQL version 8.3.9, the following additional changes have been made:

  • A Maximum discount amount and discount percentage can be set per store.

  •  Discount use can be allowed/disallowed by Point of Sale Security Code.

  • Discount Codes – Authorized users are now allowed to enter POS document and line-item  discounts in Ticket Entry and Touchscreen Ticket Entry using predefined codes.  Codes can be defined to apply discounts at the line item level or the document level.  An amount or percentage of the discounts can be specified,  and whether the users can change the default discount at point of use.   Additionally, you can now now define a minimum qualifying sale amount for each discount code. This determines the minimum price for a line item or the minimum ticket sub-total for a ticket, before a discount applies.

  • Discount Codes can be set to be allowed only for in-store discounts, Online Orders, or Both.

  • Clearing of both line discounts and document discounts is also allowed.
