Using Your POS Software to Get Better Prices from Suppliers

Jeff Haefner of Point of Sale Software Buyers Guide suggests that you pull up a sales report from your POS System that summarizes the profit margin totals for each of your suppliers.  At a glance, you can see how the profit margin on products from one vendor compares to that of another vendor.  Having this information on hand can help you when negotiating with your supplier for a better price.  Better prices from suppliers can greatly reduce your inventory costs!
